Our volunteer program is designed for students who are interested in the topic of the event and would like to get access to great content and start building their network as well as for students who are interested in event organization and would like to look behind the scenes.

Whichever category you are in – we would love for you to help us run our events smoothly.

For SMX Advanced 25 in Berlin, we are once again looking for motivated, reliable and friendly volunteers to support us for two days, 30th September and 1st October 2025.

You can find out exactly what kind of support we are looking for in the detailed description below.

Of course, our volunteers don’t go empty-handed! In addition to an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of the event, we will provide food & drink during the day and access to the SMX Advanced 2024 sessions (this is only applicable for some volunteers – see description below).

If you can’t volunteer during both days, you can still apply. Just let us know which days are possible for you.

JOB DESCRIBTION

Registration Speaker / Partner

You support us in looking after our partners and speakers, by welcoming them, validating their tickets at the registration and handing out name tags. You make sure that everyone finds their way around and gets off to a good start.

Languages: Good communication skills in English are a must
Time: 10 – 11 September, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm

Registration Attendees

At registration you are the first point of contact for all participants. You validate their tickets, hand out and create name badges. You are a “team worker”, friendly and work well under pressure (we have a crunch time first thing in the morning, when most people arrive at the same time and it can get a bit stressful)? Wonderful! Then the registration team would love to have you join the team.:-)

Program Team

You will support us mainly with looking after our speakers. Is the right presentation at the AV table? Does the speaker still want to change something in the presentation? The speaker hasn’t shown up at the stage yet and we need to find her/him urgently? Let’s go! As a volunteer in the program team, you need to be able to keep calm in stressful situations and sometimes running skills can be helpful 😉

Runner

As a runner, spontaneity and flexibility are the most important prerequisites. You help out wherever support is needed. This can be at the registration during crunch times, or when your fellow volunteers need a break, or at the entrance.
